How to remove DRM from any iTunes media

As we all know iTunes is an online store hosted by Apple Inc. which provides applications, TV shows, Movies, E-Books and a lot more.

Now as all the good bought by Apple users are legit, they are copyrighted and have a fairplay copyright.
This protection ensures that the media cannot be opened in non-Apple/iOS devices. So that means you cannot play it in your normal media players (VLC, wmp).

But today I am gonna tell you how to remove that DRM in just a few easy steps.

First Of all you need two programs:

iTunes 8.1/8.1.1 and QuickTime (for Windows users, 9.0 and lower for Mac) Download here

Requiem 1.8.10 Download here

Note: iTunes 8.1 is the only version that works for windows users. The other versions do not support decrypting.

1) Install iTunes 8.1/8.1.1 and Quicktime (if you have a later version of itunes already, uninstall it)

2) Open iTunes, access the media there (play it once). this is to ensure that your version of itunes is working.

3) Open Requiem 1.8.10

4) Click the + symbol. You will be asked to add the protected files to decrypt.

5) Add the protected files from your computer. Usually your iTunes media are downloaded in My Documents/My Music or anywhere else (it will always be in your documents, just search through and you may stumble upon the iTunes folder).

6) Add the desired media.

7) After adding the file to requiem, click the yellow lock symbol. It will lose its color.

8) Wait for sometime (decrytping will take some time depending on the file size and quality (SD, HD, etc.)

9) After sometime, you'll get a message: "Decryption complete!"

10) Go to the original iTunes folder (in your documents where the protected file was located)

11) Bingo! You will find the unprotected file next to the Original file.

Note: Media files like TV shows, movies may change format but they'll retain the same quality as iTunes.
Again, Requiem doesn't re-encode anything, nor does it record. It just plainly removes the protection.
